We had a last minute booking for 3 nights in July 2021, and it was very expensive, over $800 for a room that I am not sure why it is called Family Deluxe room. The first impression was disappointing. The motel was smelly and the reception was a grumpy old lady who refused to check us in earlier than 3pm. Few hours after the check in we found out about the health order that required us to self isolate for 2 weeks, so we had to head back home. They refused to cancel but accepted to give us credit, but deducted $350 as they claimed this is the amount taken by the third party booking website. They have also increased the rates, now I can only book 2 days instead of 3 with that credit within a comparable date range.

I understand it has been tough times for tourism industry in last two years, but customer service is something they are lacking. I have to go and use the remaining credit this year, but I would never go back there. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. There is a reason that the only place you can find last minute is here.

The motel as of 2/4/22 was still practising covid protocols. No staff are were site but there was a number to call if you needed assistance. The rooms are ok if you're only looking for a place to sleep at night (our bed was very comfortable). Our room had a tiny kitchenette not much wider than the microwave oven which had a toaster and kettle perched on top. Three appliances and only one power outlet. No USB outlets in the room so bring your own. The room was one of the cheapest in town (off season) so I guess you get what you pay for.

My partner and I tested positive to COVID the day of our stay. To minimize the endangerment of others we followed the public health orders and cancelled our stay. Alpine resort refused to refund our money (we would have even accepted a credit for another stay another time). Majority of hotel/motel venues offer policies in situations like this, whereby cancellation is out of your control. Very Disappointed.

Service provided during booking was excellent and helpful in organizing a group trip. However due to circumstances we had to cancel our group trip as it was unsafe to visit.

This is where it got interesting, certain group members got a refund. Some group members did not get a refund. Now unsure if it was discriminatory or coincidental not but those who did not get a refund happened to be people with ethnic sounding surnames.

Not please with management at all, unsure if new management has taken over since but it's time for our annual snow trip again and we wouldn't consider this place.

Booked accommodation for family trip and due to changing covid circumstances we are physically unable to leave our local government area.

I understand having no refund policies to stop time wasters, but when it is legally against the law to travel within NSW state . They have effectively held our money ransom and turned off their phone lines.

DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS UNETHICAL BUSINESS

Just looking at previous Reviews, and after staying here for a few nights which we thought was awesome , maybe a little bit noisy and things a little seconds hand, but I can't believe the critiques that people / Experts come out with.

Please remember you get what you pay for, and be happy with that.
